Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of the UFC in the Flyweight Division. She is a Kyrgyzstani. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey with an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional career in 2003 and was the winner of her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final fight took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to pursue boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's formidable strike abilities enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a an unanimous decision. This earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
